“I already met her” That is what Todd said in response to meeting Barney’s sister who was visiting Sunday in Germany. He had to jog Barney’s memory on that one! How about that! What an excellent moment and without a doubt a highlight to our weekend.
Todd is coming around but he still has a lot to work through, these medications being a current challenge. Let’s see what this week holds. We are all a bit tired, but enjoying the time together.

Thanks for the progress report. Sounds like you’ve got a great support team and the healing is coming along. The weekend here was bright and sunny, a nice reprise in the stormy weather—Mavericks Saturday and perfect hiking weather Sunday. I passed the city kayak depot and thought of you. Wait patiently, I reminded myself, we must continue to be patient. Todd’s internal adventure is big enough for now –going for big paddles and rides through storm surf, with occasional calms, a ride wild but he’s charging it like a pro.
Miss you!

Todd setting the memory record straight is a great sign! Keep up the corrections! I’m glad someone is on it over there…te he he.
Has Barney had a croquetta (sp?) yet? Am most anxious to hear how many of them he eats…

I;m thinking that Ground Hog Day will only be complete if we eat the same spread of croquettas over and over and over. Doesn’t that sound yummy, Mary?
Glad to hear Mr Todd is keeping a handle on things over there. Jeez!!
Love and hugs and more words tomorrow morning cause y’all are asleep over there anyway

Ooh, it’s cold and foggy this morning. If you go to the New York Times Science section today (Tuesday 1/15), you’ll see an article about an occupational therapist who works with severe brain trauma patients. It had a good focus on the daily regimen and the long range recovery process. It sounds like Todd is doing AMAZING for where he is in that long range process! Go Mr. Clooney! How lucky you’ve got Mrs. Clooney!

I saw a 60 year old version of todd on the bart today-sharp, glasses on, checking everyone out with an inward smile and obviously ticking away in the brain. it made me happy, hopeful, and sad, too, that the howeveroldheis and soon to be birthday’d again (brother aquarius!)todd wasn’t just there, magically, watching the world go by on the fremont bart.
miss you alex! hooray for all progress, and keep up the good work, the botha yas!

you should also watch ratatouille and cars and madagascar over and over and over and over – that’s what tessa does, and the lines she recites never cease to crack us up…
“mater, what did i tell you about talkin’ with the accused?”
“tuh not to…”
“welcome to madagascar”
“mada-who-ha?”
“no, gas-car”
ok, guess you have to be there….
and alex you are an ace at journaling now. there’s a book in here.
anyway, so glad john rogers is coming to you both – john you are a poet in your entries
i know that place has become your home away from home – and i bet you may miss it in a strange way – but i know you/we all can’t wait till you are home, here.

I was there at Robodock (part of the Seattle Crew), and I’ve been following the recovery for months. Best wishes to Todd and I hope that his recovery is swift(er).
